Bridging Tech.
Bridging Tech is a 501(c)(3) non-profit public charity founded in response to the COVID-19 pandemic by two young women at Stanford University dedicated to social justice and educational equity. Bridging Tech’s mission is to bridge the digital divide by giving laptops for learning and enriching educational opportunities to children affected by homelessness.
In the current state of distanced learning, children who do not have the resources to purchase online-learning devices to attend classes may be held back a grade in school. These children tend to come from low-income, minority backgrounds, so this situation exacerbates prevalent systemic inequities. Currently, Bridging Tech operates in 15 cities across the United States to help as many children affected by homelessness as possible.
